Hope Came to Washington DC
I did not meet anybody who hated President Obama. I saw some posters with Obama’s image made to look like Hitler, but those were carried by disciples of Linden LaRouche. The mainstream attendee was God fearing, country loving and family committed. To say this was a protest against Obama is an insult to the event. It was about so much more, it shared the heartbeat of freedom and liberty that once beat in our founders. Its veins were filled with the shed blood of our fallen war heroes. Its vitality came from the hope that there will be more free tomorrows for Americans if we can just get Congress to hear us. This was not about mass opposition to a man; it was about love for our country and love of our freedoms.
I will not offer commentary on healthcare reform, corporate bailouts, or any of the issues that are up for debate and the topic of discussion on every talk radio station. I simply want to tell our audience that there really is hope for America because of Americans. Regular folks like you and me who love traditional values, and believe that our rights come from our Creator God.
Although we may feel threatened by upcoming legislation, I see bright skies. I see a movement beginning and its energy was palpable Saturday in Washington, DC. Don’t give up; continue to talk to your neighbors, friends and associates about American values. Sooner or later, they will come around to common sense. The varnish of slick politicians is quickly fading. Americans from all over this great land are uniting around principles not party affiliation. It is about time we woke up and took a stand. The tide is changing and we are about to see another great American uprising!
